During my career, I'd hear executives say something like "that manager needs some leadership training" - as if one-size-fits-all workshops could turn anyone into a better leader.  But in my experience, great leadership doesn't come from a slide deck or seminar or being told what you should do.  It comes from building confidence, learning how to work with your own strengths and values, and figuring out what kind of leader you want to be.
